Spring Break in Vegas

Kenneth and I headed (yet again) to Las Vegas - this time for Spring Break. We stayed with my brother Michael & his wife, Kim (who is due any day now).

We had fun going rock climbing on Saturday with Michael, Kim, Jose, Analee & Allison (and 5 little ones including Jonathan). It was kind of crazy going in a group where there were several babies/toddlers, but it was great.

We even got to see a helicopter rescuing people off of the top of a nearby mountain. (We think it was for training). The little boys were VERY excited.

Danny also experienced his first repel this last weekend. We were trying to hike to a climb, but it got a little too intense feeling carrying Danny. Luckily we stopped at a point where there were chains for repelling.

We also watched "Gone with the Wind" this weekend. I have never seen it before, and had no clue what it was about, but thoroughly enjoyed it.

Analee & Jose left on Sunday, but Kenneth and I stayed through Wednesday. We were secretly hoping we would be there long enough for Kim to go into labor, and to see little Jonathan before we came back to UT, but that didn't happen. Danny ended up getting sick on Sunday (and is just barely getting better), so while Kenneth caught up with random climbers on Monday and Tuesday, I stayed indoors with Danny & Kim. I actually loved Danny being sick for the fact that he became a little cuddle-bug, which he usually is not.

Wednesday Kenneth and I headed home. I was started to feel a little sick myself at this point, and got a full-blown cold by Thursday. Kenneth took his GRE on Thursday morning and did well (whoo hoo!). On Friday we worked on projects around the house (painting doors, changing light fixtures, outlets, fertilizing our lawn, etc). Later that evening we went to my sister, Alisha's house to help her with some last minute projects. She is moving to GERMANY where her husband Sai is stationed for the British military. She is leaving in less than a month and is trying to get things situated. I can't even imagine what it would be like trying to pack up your life and move to a foreign country!! I am hoping that Kenneth and I will be able to visit her there sometime in the future. Go Europe!

In other random news, Danny has started to Army Crawl. We saw it for the first time yesterday. He loves remote controls, so we placed one just out of reach, and he started scooting to it using his arms and legs! It was incredible! We tried to get it on video, but were unsuccessful. We will keep trying.

So, this is Kenneth, I never blog, but today I decided I'd throw something up on the blog. Any of you who know me will know that I enjoy rock climbing, mechanical engineering, and the combination of both. I like to design "cams" which are protection devices that you use while rock climbing. Well anyway, every year on rockclimbing.com they have a homemade cam competition and I have designed and built the cam pictured below.

Anyone who wants to help me out with winning this competition can make an account on rockclimbing.com and vote for my cam, voting should start on Wednesday the 24th of march and if you don't recognize the cam by the picture it should be called the "extraterrestrial".

Thanks for any help!

Spring Break

Today officially starts Kenneth's Spring Break! We are heading down to Vegas for a few days. This will be the last time we see Michael & Kim before they have their baby (due April 4th). We are also stopping in San Rafael Swell (hopefully) and St. George for some additional climbing and hiking. Look back in about a week for pictures!

Take Luck!

For my birthday, Kenneth bought us tickets to the Brian Regan show here in Salt Lake. We went to the performance on Saturday and it was just as hilarious as I expected if not more! Brian Regan is absolutely a thrill and if you haven't seen any of his work, please, look it up on youtube...now! He cracks me up. I don't think I've had such a good ab workout since before I was pregnant. Thank you Kenny for the fabulously funny evening. It was the best!

I was also pleased to see the Brian Regan merchandise. Some of my favorite:

"The big yellow one is the sun"
"Free Snowcone"
&
"Go my favorite sports team - GO!"

Have a great day and TAKE LUCK!

Fun in the Sun

We had a beautiful warm day the other day, so Kenneth took Danny out to the backyard to play on the grass for awhile. Here are some cute pictures:

Danny is FINALLY learning to sit up!

An interesting picture Kenneth got of Danny. I love it! His eyes look so blue!

Here is a video of Danny, we finally got one to upload!
