Yea! This past week was just STUFFED with good news and with warm fuzzies! In my last post I mentioned about Kenneth getting an internship..oh yea! Then, on Friday I got a call from my AWESOME big brother, Michael, who told me that he and his girlfriend, Kim Prettyman had gotten engaged!!! I am SOOO excited! I asked when...where...details, etc...and this is what I got:
"Well, we went out to lunch, we went to Sugarhouse park, and then gave her the ring."
WOW! Thank you Michael...that was so insightful! That's alright...that's just how Michael is...I did learn all the details later. I next asked him if they had picked a date yet.
"April 18th at 1 o'clock in the Salt Lake Temple"
I asked how long they had had the temple date reserved and he said a week! I couldn't believe that I hadn't known! CRAZY!
On Sunday, Kenneth and I decided to invite Michael and Kim over for dinner to celebrate...when we found out that Kim wasn't even in town! Goodness gracious! She and her mother went down to San Diego to visit a friend. So, we celebrated with just Michael Sudnay evening, and it was SOOO MUCH FUN! My goodness! Most of you don't know Michael, but he doesn't really talk about his emotions very often, and he rarely gives details about ANYTHING! It kind of shocked me to have him open up like he never has before about being so excited, ideas for the wedding, and wedding night! Whoa! Haha! It was hilarious! It was so nice to just hang out all night and spend some quality time together! I am SO excited and I think...no, I KNOW that Kim ROCKS! They are going to be so great together! I cannot wait!

Congratulations Kenneth!
Congratulations to Kenneth! Yesterday we found out that Kenneth was offered an internship with the company Easton! It is an internship for mechanically engineering, and he will be testing the strength and durability of the products (which include rock climbing gear, arrows and snowshoes). I am especially excited because Kenneth will gain a TON of experience for when he graduates! Whoo hoo! My husband ROCKS!

Twilight!
Oh my goodness! I finally broke down and read the book Twilight...and I LOVED it! It WAS great! My friend Danielle gave me her copy of the book and I finished it in ONE day! I loved the simplicity of it! I loved being able to read a book that was simple, easy to read, and of course the gushing of girly emotions is always welcome in books! I cannot wait to read the next book (although I think I should read it slower so that I can enjoy it longer!). AND...(I hope my husband doesn't ever read this) I'm like 99% of the girls out there who TOTALLY have a crush on Edward (although my Kenny-boy is STILL hotter!). Oh goodness!
My predictions for the next book(s) - STOP READING NOW IF YOU HAVE NOT YET READ "TWILIGHT" AND GO BUY IT NOW!!!
1) Billie is TOTALLY a warewolf! Since their ideas of the Cullens is true, then the legend of them coming from warewolves must also be true.
2) Rosalie...I DON'T like her! She is going to do something to betray Edward and somehow Bella is going to end up in some horrible situation where her life is (yet again) in danger.
3) This one had BETTER come true...Bella MUST become a vampire! I don't know what Edward's problem is...my goodness! Just a quick little bite, a little bit of pain and she's yours forever! Anyway...if this isn't how the 3rd book ends, I am going to be VERY upset!
That's it...if anyone wants to chat with me about my new love affair with a book, let me know! I love it!

Whoa! There ARE other young people here!
So Kenneth and I went to what we THOUGHT was our new ward this past Sunday. We found out that our ward actually changed time due to the new year, but we are guessing that general observations for the one we went to will the very similar to what we can expect for our ward. We walked in to Sacrament Meeting and were very happy to see that there was actually a mix in cultures! Call me crazy, but most of my family members are not just "white" and I miss the culture that seemed to lack at BYU. So, we were VERY excited about that. The next very clear observation we saw was that the ward was about 80% over the age of 60! Definitely an older ward...that's okay though. I'll learn a lot from the wise! It was funny however when we went to Sunday School. Kenneth and I sit down, and another young couple sits down across the aisle from us...did you hear that a YOUNG couple! As soon as time for Relief Society hit I went and introduced my self to Young Girl #2. Her name was Buffy and she and her husband have been married since May (newlyweds like us) and just moved to UT from Alabama. It was kind of crazy because both of us are new home/condo owners and both couples are fixing up their houses! When church was done the men joined us and we swapped stories about construction fiascos with our homes! The men offered to help each other with the construction which I am ALL for!! (Construction is NOT really my thing) Hopefully a new friendship will arise with the ONLY other young couple we've seen since we moved to this neighborhood! How fun!

An End to Vacation :-(
Man! I sure love the holidays and DON'T love it coming to an end! Christmas was fabulous this year. I spent lots of time with my in-laws and even more time with my siblings, and nieces and nephews. It was great to see the little ones. After Christmas, Kenneth and I continued to work on our kitchen (it's ALMOST done!), and then we headed down to St. George for our 1 year anniversary! We definitely enjoyed the sunshine and warmth down there! We enjoyed some rockclimbing, hiking and shopping! It was great. Now I'm back to my normal life of work...and hopefully will be able to keep the New Year resolutions I have made!
