Two weeks ago Kenneth, Danny and I had the opportunity to head to Southern California for my best friend's wedding. My friend Emily, who I have known since junior high was married to Nick Anderson in the San Diego temple on Friday, May 14, 2010. The wedding was absolutely beautiful!!
Danny had his first flight going down to LA. He did pretty good. As soon as the plane started going down the runway he fell asleep. He slept the entire flight which was wonderful!
After we arrived around 2pm we decided to head to the beach! We put Danny's feet in the water and he was NOT happy about it! ;) I think it was the combination of cold water, wet sand, and the loud waves. He immediately started crying, and even when we would hold him, he would tense up and lift up his legs whenever the waves came in. We better get him more used to the ocean!
Friday was the day of the wedding. Danny was hilarious while we were at the hotel - so naturally I included a picture. We headed to the temple and we were fortunate to have Emily's siblings watch Danny while we were in the sealing. It was a beautiful wedding. Afterward we took some pictures, headed to a luncheon (that was absolutely delicious!!) and then relaxed a little until the reception.

The entire temple had scaffolding on it for repairs. The bride & groom loved it though!

Danny's girlfriend - they first met before we went into the temple for the sealing, and she was ALL OVER HIM! She immediately started kissing him and holding his hand.
The beautiful bride!
Danny got a little tired while we were taking pictures...and a little hot.
They had the reception at a beautiful house that belonged to a friend of the Anderson family. They found out earlier this spring what colors they were having and planted all the plants in the front and backyard to match. It was absolutely gorgeous! It was a spectacular reception and Emily & Nick were so happy! Congrats you guys!!

On Saturday Kenneth, Danny & I again spent a couple of hours at the beach. This time we hit Huntington Beach. The surf was beautiful and we were able to watch all the morning surfers at their best. Danny did much better at the beach this second time. The sand was dry and warm, and he didn't even get scared of the waves...in fact, he crawled towards them! Maybe he'll become a beach boy after all!
(Kenneth is hoping this will be him soon after we get to California)
We had a wonderful time in California and are excited to head out there for good! Congrats again Emily & Nick!
