Hiking

Since moving to Utah we have ventured out twice to go hiking in the Ogden area.  Our first time out was to try to check out some rocks we saw to see if they would be any good for climbing.  It was nice to get outside and to see the views and take in some fresh air!  Danny was thrilled - he loves hiking!  He picked up three sticks - one was a gun, one was a sword and the other was an arrow.  He insisted on carrying them the whole way.  He was also thrilled to be able to walk through the snow.  Definitely a good day.

Our second hike was to Waterfall Canyon.  This hike was fun, however, there was a lot of snow toward the end of the hike.  Danny was tired and definitely did not enjoy tromping through the snow.  The waterfall was beautiful.  I definitely want to go back once it is a little warmer.

We were too late to ice climb!  Next year...

Beautiful view

On the way down from Waterfall Canyon, we often had to go "sledding"and "ice skating" down the snowy parts.  Danny was obviously exhausted at this point.  One point he loved the "sledding" and then the next minute he was crying because he didn't want to.  Oh goodness!  Again, beautiful canyon and can't wait to go back - with rested kids this time! ;)

The ice climbing there is really fun :) Looks like you had a great day out even with a tired kiddo.
